Brian’s Story

Brian graduated from the University of Ottawa with a Doctorate of Laws (LL.D.) degree and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree. He also holds an LL.M. degree from Osgoode Hall Law School and a LL.M. degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Brian is a corporate governance researcher with experience in formulating related policy recommendations, including based on the interpretation and analysis of relevant empirical studies, law, and regulations. Prior to practicing law in Kingston, Brian was a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC), a position that has provided him with real world immigration law experience. Originally from Taiwan, Brian is fluent in Mandarin and Hokkien Chinese. He has a passion to serve his community. Brian currently sits on the Board of Directors at the Kingston Community Legal Clinic and at the Kingston Chinese Alliance Church.
